Created under the leadership of local artist Mary Ellen Bowers, the local middle-school Builders Club participated in the painting of this bench. Using a variety of iridescent paints, the landscape holds the overflowing basket of food, while letting people know that donations to the Auburn Food Bank indeed do make a difference.
The Auburn Food Bank is a volunteer directed organization that provides food, referrals, and emergency assistance to those in need. These services, which are provided year around by a coordinated and systematic approach to the collection and distribution of resources in a responsible and a caring way, will be extended to those living within the Auburn School District # 408 boundaries...which includes the cities of Algona, Pacific, and the newly annexed areas of Lake Tapps and Kent.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
You can donate food or cash at the Auburn Food Bank. Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Weekend donations can be arranged, so give us a call to schedule a drop off if needed.
There is also a drop container across the street from the food bank at Top Foods in their parking lot in the far SE corner and are picked up daily.
You can also make a cash donation to Auburn Food Bank online through Network for Good an online giving site dedicated to non-profit organizations.
