The tile and mosaic mural spans the front wall of the community center using rectangular subway tiles and mosaic-filled circles to break up the sharp angles of the building. The viewing path consists of a broken-stone walkway embedded with mosaic-filled circular inlays lining a planting area in the front lawn along with five half-spheres. Meant to create a continuity between all the pieces of the project, the spheres range from three to five feet in diameter and are covered in bright mosaic tiles. The tiles used throughout this project were created in hands-on community workshops members of the public.
There are three parts to "Motion In Play", a tile and mosaic mural, broken-stone walkway, and a planting area containing five half-spheres.
